Contract Negotiations

Younger & Associates maximizes our clients contractual earnings through aggressive but professional negotiation strategies. In addition to hundreds of legal settlements and collective bargaining negotiation, this firm has more than three decades experience in negotiating athlete contracts. Younger & Associates appreciates the limited career life span of NFL athletes and creates an earnings strategy for each of our clients.

Whether representing a draft rookie or an established veteran, Younger & Associates brings experience and knowledge to the negotiation table.

Derek Carr, after just three NFL seasons, and a 0-10 record to begin his career, signed the largest contract extension in NFL history when he executed a five-year/$125 million extension with the Oakland Raiders in June 2017, and the contract represented the single biggest leap in average per year salary at the time.

Carr became the NFL's first $25 million average per year player, substantially increasing his salary from what was scheduled to be LESS than $1 million in 2017.

Carr was named Castrol EDGE Clutch Performer of the Year for 2016 and finished third in NFL MVP voting. As of 2022, Carr became the longest tenured quarterback in the AFC. In April 2022, Carr signed a three-year $121.5 million extension with the Raiders becoming just the third player in NFL history to sign two contracts worth over $100 million with the same organization.

Center Alex Mack, of the San Francisco 49ers was named to the Pro Bowl for the 7th time, and was named to the NFL All Decade Team.

Mack has twice earned contracts which made him the highest-paid center in NFL history. As of 2022, Mack was the highest earning NFL center of all time.

In 2021, QB Mason Rudolph signed a one year extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers making him the first QB of the 2018 NFL draft class to sign an extension with the team that drafted him.

Notre Dame QB Ian Book, the winningest QB in Irish history and top 10 finisher in the 2020 Heisman Trophy balloting, was a Senior Bowl standout and was drafted at pick 133 of the 2021 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.

In NIL news, QB Limited assisted Biletnikoff award winner Jordan Addison of Pittsburgh and Heisman finalist Kenny Pickett, among others.
